Welcome Neighbors!

The area bound by borders of Chicago/Grand/Damen/Western (seen in green on the map below) does not have a community organization. It is, however, bordered by two active community organizations: The CGNA (Chicago Grand Neighbors Association) and the UVNA (Ukrainian Village Neighborhood Association).

Why is it beneficial to have a community organization represent you? Consider combined efforts to keep streets clean and learn about new businesses. Hear about zoning and new construction, and be part of those discussions with city officials before projects break ground. Even just getting to know who lives next door or down the street is a wonderful way to build community. Knowing your neighbors helps everyone stay in the loop and helps to give your part of the neighborhood an identity.

This survey is beginning the process by asking whether a new community organization should be started, or whether you would prefer to join one of the existing community organizations.

If you live within the boundaries of Chicago/Grand/Damen/Western, please complete this survey which could also serve as a petition to ask the CGNA the UVNA boards to expand their boundaries. Please spread the word and pass this survey on to our neighbors! The survey will close on April 15th.
