Some residents received notice (image below) about the application for a special use permit for a proposed medical marijuana dispensary at 744 North Damen. East Village Association (EVA) will be discussing this at their meeting on Monday, November 3rd at 7pm at Happy Village located at 1059 North Wolcott. Please note that the EVA board has not received official communication from 1st ward alderman Joe Moreno, the city or the state regarding this matter.
The beat 1221 CAPS meeting is Wednesday, November 5th at 7pm at the Smith Park Field House at 2526 West Grand. Topics to be discussed include recent garage and home burglaries, attempted burglaries and tips for having packages reach you safely during the holiday season.
