Second Meeting Date Announced: 7/15/14 at 7pm at Old Oak

We plan to have monthly steering committee meetings for the foreseeable future to serve as a public forum for your input and ideas until we formalize an organizational structure. The next monthly meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 15th from 7-8pm at Old Oak located at 2109 W. Chicago Avenue.

The next meeting will be split, the first half will be the open forum steering committee meeting and the second half will be the first standing committee meetings.

7pm – 7:30pm – Steering Committee Meeting

• another opportunity for neighbors to meet one another
• continue the conversation about why we desire a neighborhood organization
• introduce elements of a grassroots power organization to help guide our work

7:30pm – 8:00pm – Standing Committee Meetings

1) Community Affairs--social activities and events, business liaison, local schools and organizations liaison, neighborhood safety, parks, recreation, and environment, etc.

2) Operations--budgeting, finance, communications, membership, etc.

3) Preservation and Planning--historic preservation, zoning and development oversight, parking, etc.
